SCS awarded for SAC accreditation for Singapore Good Agriculture Practice (SS 675:2021) and Good Aquaculture Practice (SS 670:2021)

We are pleased to inform you that SOCOTEC Certification Singapore has obtained SAC accreditation for SG GAP SS 675 Good Agriculture Practice and SS 670 Good Aquaculture Practice since May 2023.

Singapore Food Agency (SFA) encourages local farms to adopt SG GAP standards which was developed in 2021 to improve the productivity, provide quality assurance in food production and to enhance the market access.

SS 675 applies for vegetables, fruits and herbs farms and it covers all phases of farm operations starting from pre-production (nursery), cultivation, harvesting and post-harvest handling prior to delivery of agriculture products for both outdoor & indoor agriculture.

SS 670 applies for various aquaculture systems in Singapore such as open-cage farming, pond farming, closed containment farming systems for fish, crustaceans and molluscs. The standard covers the best practices for aquaculture farm production to ensure food safety & quality, upholding animal health & welfare, environmental integrity and socio-economic aspects.
