Ready-Mixed Concrete (SS EN 206:2014, SS 544: Part 1 & 2:2019, SAC Doc. No. CT06 2019)

As ready-mixed concrete (RMC) is used in a wide variety of construction structural applications, the Building Construction Authority of Singapore (BCA) has mandated that concrete manufacturers are to obtain RMC product certification to ensure that the ready-mixed concrete meets the required standards in terms of strength and durability. BCA has stated that RMC producers needs to be certified for its on-site batching plants as well as plants supplying concrete for precast structural elements.

Key steps to certification

_{*Note 1: Inspector days will be different between SAC/ Non-SAC accredited certification body.} 

_{*Note 2: Inspector days for each subsequent batching plant (BP) using a different mixer in the same location and using the same constituent material from the sources as the first batching plant, would be reduced by 0.5 inspector day.}
